Nationals

Champions - Kirkpatrick (Braves)

***The tournaments brackets are single elimination.  Home team is determined by a coin flip prior to the start of the game.  Winning team is to report score to Scott Steiner. Email Scott at: scott.steiner@milfordyouthbaseball.com or text (513) 616-1308***

"*MYBA will allow teams to play with less than the normal amount of players. That being said, if you have less than 9 players, you will be required to take an out when the missing batter is due up.  Meaning, If you have 7 players on the field, after the 7th batter, you will have to take an out for the 8th and 9th batter.  But, if the game becomes a farse or out of control because the team with less than 9 players can’t get an outs, the game will be stopped and the win will be awarded to the opposing team.

Tournament Rules
Games played to completion unless stopped by run rule or weather. Weather can affect game dates. There is NO time limit on games.
Report tournament scores the same date of game.Either to Coordionator or submitted electronically.
Home team is determined by coin flip prior to game. Only one flip...not best of three. Please coordinate this with the other teams coach before the game.
No Batting Practice at Finley Ray Park is permitted during tournaments.
Protests are allowed but must be settled on field prior to next pitch/play. $25.00 fee must be paid at of protest.
Pitching rule - remains the same as during the season
Trophies will be handed out for the First and Second Place team.

Pitching rules for Nationals
Pitching rule- A player can pitch a total of 70 pitches or 4 innings over a consecutive two day period. (Ex….if a player pitches one inning and 15 pitches on Wednesday he can pitch 55 pitches and 3 innings on Thursday)…Prior to the start of the game coaches are to share information as to who pitched the previous game and how many innings and pitches they threw.

Also, the semi finals and finals  are being  played back to back.  If the Championship game is cancelled due to rain then everything reverts back to the regular rules which state they can pitch on 48 hours rest.  So if a player pitched 3 innings and 70 pitches on Tuesday , and Wednesday game was rained out and played on Thursday he would start all over and be able to pitch 4 innings and/or 70 pitches.

If the Championship game ends up playing on back to back nights the pitcher would be capped at 4 innings/70 pitches total.
